You can rank your students for their assessments.
How do we turn on ranking for marksheets?
There are three ways to use this feature, depending on which marksheets you want ranking to be enabled for.
Switch this column on for all marksheets (including Data Collection marksheets) from your Marksheet Settings. Staff can toggle this to off using the marksheet filters each time they access a marksheet if needed.
Only some assessments
Switch ranking on by default for only certain assessment by going to Students > Assessments > Annual Policy > Manage Assessments. Select the assessment, then click into the Show RANK order? field and change this to Yes.

How does ranking work on the marksheets?
On the marksheet, you'll see a Rank column for each assessment period, with a number assigned to each student.
If students are working at the same grade, they'll be assigned the same rank and the next number will be skipped. So for example below, two students have rank 1 so the next student is given rank 3, skipping 2.
Top Tip: Click the column header to sort the students by rank.
Can we use RANK ordering with custom marksheets?
Because you can't report on students' rank in the Custom Report Writer, it isn't possible to include rank in your Custom Marksheets. You'll need to use one of the options above to apply either apply ranking to marksheets.
Can we report on or analyse RANK order?
It is not possible to report on ranking in the Custom Report Writer, or in the Assessment Analysis pages. However, you can download your marksheets using the Download button to complete additional analysis, for example in Excel.
