This article explains how to log exam results for students who took exams at a different center, including steps for adding, editing, and deleting results in Arbor. It highlights the need for proper permissions and provides tips to avoid duplicate entries in student profiles.
You can still log exam results for students where they took the exam at a centre other than your own. They can then be output in your statements of results, or excluded where required.
You don't need to make entries in Arbor, but you will need to have set up the qualification in your Qualification Offering.
Top Tips for this feature:
- For Non-EDI results, at least one student in the school needs to have been entered for the series to be able to add manual results.
- If the student has an entry and then has a manual result entered then this will appear twice on their profile. You may wish to remove the manual result to prevent duplicates on their Statement of Results.
Permissions
You'll need the Qualifications: Administer All Students permission to add exam results into Arbor. If you don't have permissions, ask your administration team to give you permission using these instructions.
Adding results
Just go to Students > Examinations > Results Administration and select either EDI Manual Result Entry or Non-EDI Manual Result Entry. Select the qualification.
In the qualification, select the award.
You'll then be taken to the overview. Top Tip: Make sure you have set embargoes as you would any other results.
Scroll down on the page and click into the Manual Results tab. Click +Add.
In the slide over, select the group of students (select from year group or class - useful for Shared Teaching schools) or add individual candidates that have taken the exam, then click Add candidates.
They'll then be added to the list on the Manual Results tab.
Editing results
On the same Manual Results tab, you can change the grades by using the drop-down, or using the Bulk Fill option.
Deleting grades
You can delete grades and remove students from the list by selecting the students, clicking the Bulk action button and selecting Delete results.
You can also use the drop-down and select No grade. Refresh your page to then see the updated list.
