Attendance by subject or course

This article explains how to report attendance by subject or course for students, detailing steps to access the Attendance Statistics page, apply filters, and create custom reports for course enrolments.

On the Attendance Statistics page

  1. Go to Students > Attendance > Statistics.
  2. Click into the filters.
  3. Select Show data by... Course.
  4. Untick the Roll Call/Statutory fields.
  5. Tick the boxes for the Lesson-by-lesson fields to include - for example Percentage Present.
  6. Click Apply.

Choose to Show data by... Course ... and also by... Student for a breakdown of attendance for each course by student. Please note that the report will not work if you select these the opposite way around.

Click into the filters and use the Students who are... field to filter down your report to look at students in only certain groups or courses. Top Tip: Complete this step if your report is too large to display.

You can then see your report which you can further filter, sort by clicking column headers or export.

In the Custom Report Writer

  1. Create a Custom Report
  2. Select that the report is about Course Enrolments
  3. Add your columns for Course Attendance
  4. Add a filter for Is bottom level course? is Yes.
  5. You can then see your report which you can further filter, sort by clicking column headers or export.
